1941-2023

Flora Alene Causey, 82, died on Oct. 22, 2023, after a long and full life. She was loved by many and will be missed greatly. Flora was born August 23, 1941, in Throckmorton to Duke Atkinson and Clara Morris Atkinson.

Flora met her soulmate, Leo Causey, in the 90s and when they married, they moved to Ben Wheeler. Flora and Leo had worked in their yard, planted flowers and trees. Flora knew what every tree, flower and bird was on her place.

She is proceeding in death by her parents Duke and Clara Atkinson, husband Leo Causey, four brothers: Charles, Ronald, Bennet and Danny Atkinson, and one sister, Mavis. Daughter, Linda Denise Hardin Harden; three grandkids, Audra Harden, Rebecca Ann, Patrick Ryan, and Bobby Hardin, the father to her children.

She is survived by Cheryl Ann Roberta Sue, Clifford Duane, two stepsons, William Hardin and Michael Causey; three stepdaughters Pam, Darla, Tina; eight grandkids B.J., Amanda, Brittane, Jana, Andrea, Justin, Jessica, and Terese, and numerous great grand kids, and several great-great grand kids, numerous nieces and nephews and friends. She was five generations strong.
