Kirkpatrick was very optimistic about the elected officials and citizens of Van Zandt County working together to meet the many challenges facing our county, club officials said. He pledged to control the county's debt, to be transparent and open with all citizens and to keep taxes as low as possible.

Courtesy photo June 21, sisters Andria and Zoey Green and their mom Sandi Evans visited Splash Kingdom Family Waterpark in Canton and set up The Green Girls Lemonade Stand and received $500 in donations, including a round off from Splash Kingdom. The sisters provided lemonade for donations to the tornado victims in Van. All proceeds will be given to the Van Elementary School to help teachers replace supplies lost in the Mother's Day tornado.
