1940-2023

A funeral service was held for Carol Yvonne Head, 83, of Canton Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023, at Eubank Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Glosup and Kelvin Reed officiating.

Carol passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Nov. 10, 2023, in Mabank. She was born on Feb. 9, 1940, in Sachse to Lester Claude Dickerson and Geraldine Velvenee Carroll Dickerson.

Carol grew up around Garland in the Rosehill Community. She graduated from Garland High School in 1958. She married her one true love, Henry Robert Head, on June 7, 1958. The couple had 61-plus beautiful years at his passing in 2019. They are now together again in their forever home. Carol was Baptist by faith and was a long-time member of Roddy Baptist Church.

Carol was a feisty and sometime stubborn woman, a strong proud Trump supporter. Carol loved life; she enjoyed time riding on her Gator and the three-wheeler (especially with her the granddaughters). The best days were spent cooking for the family and family get-togethers. In her quiet time, you could find her relaxing and on Facebook, posting wonderful posts about family or playing her games. Carol will be dearly missed but will be warmly remembered by all that knew and loved her.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Geraldine Dickerson; beloved husband, Henry Head; sister, Donna Beard; and brother, Donnie Dickerson.

She is survived by her beautiful family: three daughters and their spouses; Dena and Dennis Cormany, Darla Yvonne and Steven McNeeley, and Delaine Head and Dawn Shults; two granddaughters: Dara Cormany and Darcy Griffin; brother in-law, Joe Head; nieces and nephews: Kimberly Hall, Kasey Hall, Johnny Head-Gaston, Steve Head, David Head, Kathy Horner, Melissa Humphrey and Greg Watt.

Pallbearers: Kasey Hall, Greg Watt, Ron Seabolt, Dalynda Drake, Phillip Smith, Bruce Buckner.

Honorary pallbearers: Tony Foreman, Haskell Southern, Max Myers.

Interment was held at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton.
